SOS – A Simple Ground Beef Recipe
No I’m not sending out a distress signal. I’m talking about one of the easiest and tastiest ways to make ground beef.
SOS actually stands for sh** on a slab…yes you read that right. Your face probably resembles mine the first time my husband’s extremely prim and proper grandmother had me over for dinner and told me what she was serving. But don’t let the name turn you off from trying this awesome recipe! Just trust me!
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- onion powder to taste
- sliced bread
First, brown the ground beef in a skillet. Season with onion powder, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Add the mixture to the skillet and bring it all to a boil. Taste-test the mixture to see if you need more seasoning. Now it’s time to make the slabs. Toast the bread and cut diagonally to make triangles. Place the triangles on a plate and spoon the meat over the toast.
And there you have it. A super simple ground beef recipe that’s super tasty.
Now go get cooking!
